Naturopathic Medicine for Sexual Trauma Survivors
A Live Chat SHARP's Policy Director, Dulce Garcia. and Dr. Christian Anguiano, ND a Naturopathic Doctor currently licensed to practice naturopathic medicine in California and Arizona. In this Live chat, we discussed how PTSD and trauma affect our hormones, nervous system, and physical wellbeing. Dulce discusses the Rape Trauma Syndrome and the responses a survivor may have after an incident of sexual violence. Dr. Anguiano shares how survivors of sexual violence can use naturopathic medicine, including botanical medicine, and mind-body medicine to heal, regulate our nervous system, and reclaim our bodies during our healing journeys.
